Consistent and coordinated use of Mercer University visual identity elements on University Websites is a vital part of preserving and enhancing the value of the Mercer University brand. All University departments and University-sanctioned organizations should use Mercer's visual identity elements in accordance with the guidelines presented in preceding sections of this guide.
On Web pages, the University wordmark should be part of any template for any Mercer administrative or academic Web site, and the Mercer athletic logo or MU should be part of any template for any Mercer athletic Web site. Additionally, spirit and student organization Web sites may include the MU logo.
In accordance with the overall graphics standards, the University seal may be used only on Web sites for the President's Office, the Board of Trustees and About Mercer.
In order to coordinate the use of colors on Websites with the official Mercer colors, the following colors should be used.

When co-branding elements have been established between a department/organization and Marketing Communications, ITS-Internet Services will work with those elements. When there are no established or existing co-branding elements for a department/organization, ITS-Internet Services may create limited co-branding elements for use only on the Web. ITS-Internet Services will coordinate cobranding efforts with the
Marketing Communications .
The use of "mercer" within a domain name such as www.mercer.edu in relation to the University is a trademark owned by the University. Therefore, the use of "mercer" within a domain name is specifically controlled. Anyone wanting to register "mercer" in a domain name must have permission from Information Technology to do so.
